Orthopedic Surgeon:
Diagnose, treat, prevent and rehabilitate disorders, injuries and diseases of the musculoskeletal system of the human body; Order diagnostic tests, prescribe medication, order physical therapy, set fractured bones and perform surgery; Use both surgical and non-surgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine disorders, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors and congenital disorders; Review the patient’s medical history and other relevant information and advise the patients; Perform noninvasive procedures such as immobilizing a fractured bone, or performing surgery on a torn ligament; Plan for postoperative care and, when necessary, prescribe physical therapy; Educate medical interns and engage in continuing research; Work closely with other health care providers and serve as a consultant to other physicians.
Master’s in Orthopedic Surgery or related field with one year of experience in related occupation.
Must be licensed to practice in the State of New York. The candidate will supervise two full time employees.
